She's out of my league film poster |
- mainly aimed at a female audience
- aimed at a young adult audience
- same basic storyline
- slower pace compared to genres like action
- often told from females point of view
- this conforms the the gender stereotypes of females being more emotional and thinking more and relationships. If a film is told from a male point of view, it is often because the male is unstereotypical. An example of this is She's out of my League (2010, dir. Jim Field Smith). You can see from the poster of the film that the male character is the main focus, and rather unstereotypical.
- comedic aspect to the relationship
-obstacles stopping the couple from being together in the beginning
